10/26/09: The Possible Woman Foundation International will honor Emily Bourne Grigsby at its Founder’s Luncheon at the Atlanta Country Club, November 5, 2009. Also being honored at the luncheon will be founding board member Susan Hitchcock, Vice President and Director of Women’s Initiatives for Turknett Leadership Group.
10/26/09: Dr. Lauren Harris was selected as volunteer of the month for Jewish Family & Career Services for her work with the Open Studio Art Group at the Jewish Tower, where she works with the agency’s art therapists to help seniors with deal with various issues through art. 10/13/09: Dr. Betty Siegel, TLG’s partner in Leadership Ethics & Character; President Emeritus, Kennesaw State University; Endowed Chair of the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics & Character will receive three awards highlighting her legacy of service to others: The 2009 Legacy Award presented by the Chattahoochee Technical College, The Whitney M. Young Service Award presented by the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and The 2009 Tower of Strength Award presented by Morris Brown College.
10/1/09: Susan Hitchcock is among a slate of nine leaders selected to serve as judges for the 10th Annual Women Of the Year in Technology Awards presented by Grant Thornton. Nine finalists were announced at a reception on August 20th in the following categories: Emerging/Small Organizations; Mid Size / Medium Organizations; and Enterprise Organizations. Winners in each category will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on October 1st at the Renaissance Galleria Hotel.
9/11/09: Susan Hitchock is the guest speaker for the Kettering Executive Network (KEN). She will speak on “Leadership in the Age of Scandal.” KEN is an invitation only organization of executives who meet to support each other’s careers, share leadership insight, and provide assistance for those in transition.

5/12/09: The 2nd Annual Nellie Duke Leadership Symposium will be held in the Z-6 Building at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m., and will last until 2:30 p.m. The Symposium is being sponsored by the University’s Department of Education, the Lamar Plunkett Lecture Series, the Georgia Commission on Women and the Georgia Women’s Institute. Susan Hitchcock of Turknett Leadership Group will give the keynote address. There will be two plenary sessions with presentations on leadership, and a report on the status of women.
