In order to enhance the assessment and selection process, many clients are interested in conducting a validation study to better understand the relationship between performance on the pre-hire assessment instruments and success within the company.
Validation studies typically include the following steps:
- Compile previously administered personality, critical thinking, and interview data (predictor data).
- Gather performance review data (criterion data).
- Analyze the relationship between predictor and criterion data.
- Develop a written report detailing the analyses, findings, and suggestions for improving the accuracy of future assessment reports and hiring decisions.
