ATLANTA, GA, – Turknett Leadership Group (TLG) and Personality Matters Inc. have partnered up once again to launch the third cohort for the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity in Action (IDEA) Coaching Certification. The IDEA Certification is designed to equip participants with a foundation and a framework for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) that empowers graduates to support individual DEI initiatives, foster change, and help others belong. The course is set to kick-off on Thursday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. EDT.
“As you look at your organization’s own DEI programs, it’s going to be so important for you to have the language to sit at that table,” explained Dr. Cherry. “We want people to understand the science of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and how it creates belonging in the workplace. People need to feel seen, heard, and understood, and this program is going to help you to be able to do that.”
The course includes eight separate modules that will examine various DEI related topics. Participants will have access to a rich library of resources, on-demand videos, and a learning management system (LMS) where they can keep track of their progress and access materials. The program will also feature a few new layers of added flexibility for participants. Eight required learning modules are self-paced. Dr. Cherry will also host live labs for each module that will be optional for participants to attend. These labs are a great way to engage directly with Dr. Cherry and other members of the cohort in a safe space. During the lab, members of the cohort will have the opportunity to learn from each other, from Dr. Cherry, participate in breakout sessions, and have candid, real life discussion around DEI.
The IDEA Certification offers professional recognition (including a physical certificate upon completion) and continuing education credits for eligible SHRM HR professionals.
IDEA Provides a DEI Foundation & Framework
For Hope Harris, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of the National Association for Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), taking the course helped her gain the foundation she needed to help guide her organization in the right direction.

After becoming IDEA Certified, Hope and her fellow cohort members gained a valuable framework that they could take back to their organizations as DEI ambassadors.
