By The Turknett Team

The Turknett Leadership Group (TLG) has grown its team to include over 30 diverse consultants. TLG continued its growth in February by welcoming Cindy Cheatham, President of Good Advisors, LLC, making her TLG’s newest consultant.

Cindy brings over 25 years of consulting and leadership coaching experience to the table. She began her coaching career at Brain & Company in 1996. Her extensive background includes eight years of consulting entrepreneurs and founders at Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) and more than a decade consulting for nonprofit executives and board leaders. Tino Mantella, President & CEO, shared his excitement to have Cindy on board.

“I have known Cindy Cheatham for over a decade”, said Tino. “She is smart, strategic, and can support TLG with both not-for-profit projects and for-profit businesses of any size. We are fortunate to have her on the team.”

When asked why she decided to join TLG, Cindy shared that the company’s reputation had a large impact on her decision-making.

“I have admired the work of Bob & Lyn Turknett for several decades, and with Tino on board to grow the team and reach, I’m thrilled to join a top leadership development organization led by a first-class team.”

Career Highlight

With over 25 years of experience, Cindy has had many career highlights. Especially her role in growing and developing Georgia Tech’s ATDC  in the early 2000s. Cindy states, “I had the dream job of coaching and supporting a wide diversity of founders from Georgia Tech professors. These were inventors to serial entrepreneurs who had already taken prior companies public.”

Cindy would spend about a decade working at the ATDC. Cindy’s work helped build Atlanta’s technology ecosystem, which continues to prosper today.

Cindy brings a proven client-ready skillset to TLG. Her areas of expertise include strategic and business planning, retreat facilitation, and nonprofit experience. She also specializes in nonprofit board development and governance, collaboration, and partnership development.

Leading with Character

Not only did TLG’s history move Cindy, but she also identified with the Leadership Character Model, created by Bob and Lyn Turknett in 1994.

“For me,” said Cindy, “The Leadership Character Model that Lynn and Bob developed puts a great structure to values-based leadership and resonates with my experience working with hundreds of leaders across all sectors. I am honored to be part of helping leaders to model with integrity, respect, and responsibility.”
